 Welcome to The Demon Chronicles...

This site is dedicated to the "restification" of our 1971 Dodge Demon 340. We will attempt to document the progress on this site as we move along with the project.

Most of the car is going to be restored back to the way it came from the dealer but we will be upgrading a few things along the way as well as adding some factory options available for the model year, but not on the original build sheet.

Most of these things would not be considered "concourse" or a "restoration" by the purists out there, so we're not either. This is the reason why we're using "restification" instead. Part restoration, part modification.

Auto Metal Direct is a manufacturer of Mopar Authentic Restoration products and is continually adding new items to their catalog of products. Recently, we were pleased to find that they are now offering replacement tail panels for Demons and Dusters.

Their recent offerings cover 71-72 Demons, 70-71 Dusters, and 72 Duster tail panels. Often an extremely hard to find part or priced beyond reason when you are lucky enough to find one, AMD tail panels are a direct replacement panel at a reasonable price ($299 as of this article). AMD has created all new tooling for the stampings of these panels.

AMD now has a very extensive OEM type reproduction parts line. They are offering full OEM style floor pans, trunk pans, quarter panels and more for A Bodies now!! They also offer many more parts for other body styles as well.

You can find their products directly here: Auto Metal Direct
